Baby in a Trance

So, this is Lily Kate watching her Baby Einstein video. If you've ever seen a baby watching one of these you'll very quickly identify the face b/c they ALL go into this baby trance for the entire duration of the movie. I couldn't fix the redeye in this pic, it kept turning green and making her look even more scary so I left it.

Lily Kate went for her 6 mo apointment today (a couple weeks late) and they told us that her weight is in the 85 percentile and her height is off the charts. Our baby is BIG. Okay, I know you're thinking it, just say it - how in the heck did Parks and Liz have a BIG baby?
Who knows.....look at that sweet little chunk.

I'm going to borrow space on Lily Kate's page to show off Parks' handywork that's ALMOST done. He just needs to add the top and I need to paint it and plant something to start climbing.

We don't look exactly alike anymore. More and more people think she looks like Parks now that her hair is lighter and the blue eyes are sticking. She's not my mini me anymore. It was fun while it lasted. She still loves swinging.

She's just plain fun. Now that she can successfully stand on her own she stands anywhere she can pull up on - the kitchen island is a favorite. Look at the way she looks right at the camera and smiles, what a HAM!

So, like Parks said, she started crawling on Tue. On Friday when I went to get her from her nap this is the progression I found. Squatting......pausing to knaw on the bed for a minute......Standing! She's done this a couple times since and she's very proud of herself, so I think it's trouble from here on out :)

Our Lily Kate is growing up way too fast, and we are having so much fun. By the way she can crawl now. Look out.

I'm 6 Months Old!

Can you believe it's been 6 months since Lily Kate was born?! Where has the time gone? This last month has been lots of fun. LK loves to swim, she's not a big fan of the sand at the beach, but the ocean and the pool bring out lots of splashing and smiles. She is just days away from crawling. She is scooting all over the house and putting anything and everything in her mouth. No more leaving shoes on the floor in the living room. It's been so much fun to see her personality blossom. She is a joyful, extremely expressive little bug. That's our girl.
