Kate and I made cookies (which we do often these days), then she did some water-color painting which included painting her face, and then we played in the yard. We found this nest with beautiful eggs. Parks convinced me that is wasn't worth killing the baby birds to blow the eggs and put them in the house in a cool little bowl. Would have looked nice with our robin's egg blue walls.... probably couldn't have justified that to Lily Kate

Just to make sure, you wanted to kill a fetus to decorate your living room?
Your bird loving mother would have been so disappointed in you. Just keep watching for the miracle of life or maybe the mom won't come back since you have been taking pictures. MOM
to confirm - Crissy is right, I considered murder for sake of decorating. I didn't do it though. And Mom, the mother bird is still there. The nest is in a bush near the knob to turn on my hose. I have been watering the new plants I planted daily and she flies all around and scares the mess out of me daily. Parks says she's going to dive bomb me if I take more pictures.
Wow- you sure started a comment string. I am not for the birds myself but, killin unborn baby birds for decoration is pretty extreme. However, that is what I love about you-you are always thinking about good style :)
